This year, Shokhrukh Ganiev will be Uzbekistan’s voice at the International “Intervision” music contest. His parents instilled in him a love for Uzbek national art, raising him in an atmosphere of respect for culture and traditions.
At Fergana Music College, he studied maqom – a classical genre of Uzbek musical tradition – in depth. To this day, the musician continues to actively develop as a performer and teacher, expanding his repertoire and delving deeper into the richness of his people’s musical heritage.
Shokhrukh Ganiev has won multiple awards at patriotic competitions in his homeland. Last year, he was the undisputed champion of the international “The Voice” project in Uzbekistan.
In his work, he blends traditional Uzbek motifs with elements of contemporary pop music. Some of Shokhrukh Ganiev’s songs have remained popular for decades, continuing to win the hearts of new generations.
