Russia expects South Africa’s delegation at the Intervision’25International Music Contest scheduled to take place in Moscow late September, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with the African nation’s Deputy President Paul Mashatile on the sidelines of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
“As far as I know, you served as culture minister in the past, and you always pay much attention to this aspect of our cooperation”, Putin said. We expect a South African delegation at the Intervision International Music Contest in Moscow in September.”
To date, the representatives from seven countries have been announced. Russia will be represented by singer SHAMAN, performing the song “STRAIGHT TO THE HEART”, composed by Maxim Fadeev. Belarus will be represented by singer Nastya Kravchenko, while the trio “Nomad” and Omar Acedo will represent Kyrgyzstan and Venezuela,respectively. Serbia names multi-instrumentalist musician SlobodanTrkulja and his band Balkanopolis, Qatar nominates Dana Al Meer,while Cuba selects Zulema Iglesias Salasar.
This year, countries from BRICS, the CIS, Latin America, Asia, and Africawill take part in the competition. The Intervision’25 final will be held on September 20 at Live Arena venue in Moscow.
