Ethiopian Singer Netsanet Sultan to Showcase Her Country’s Linguistic Diversity with a Song of Love at “Intervision”

Netsanet Sultan, a young and talented Ethiopian artist, is known for performing songs in several traditional tribal languages of her region, blending them with modern rhythms. The singer’s music videos are always filled with beautiful and artful imagery, which has allowed Netsanet to quickly gain popularity in Ethiopia. Through her work, she promotes the preservation and development of Ethiopian tribal languages, especially the Oromo language. The rich and diverse selection of modern beats in the singer’s compositions makes her work relatable to listeners.

Netsanet Sultan’s contest song, entitled “Halaala,” is a beautiful example of the fusion of 21st-century music and languages that have survived to this day from ancient times. This song praises love as a gift from God, as the light of our lives and a great power. The composition “Halaala” fully reflects the versatility and creative innovation of Netsanet Sultan.
