On July 29, the annual official meeting of the Youth Council of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) took place at the SCO Secretariat in Beijing. During the meeting, participants discussed the implementation of significant joint humanitarian programs and projects, including the International Music Contest “Intervision.”
Denis Kravchenko, Head of the Russian National Part of the SCO Youth Council and First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy, announced in his speech that, according to a decree by the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, the final of “Intervision” will take place in Moscow on September 20, 2025, with more than 20 countries participating. Among them will be SCO member states: Belarus, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. He added that popular artists would represent each country in the Contest.
The parliamentarian emphasized that the best specialists, cutting-edge technologies, and the full range of available resources are being engaged to ensure the scale and quality of the event meets global standards. Denis Kravchenko added that the main goals of “Intervision” are, in particular, to introduce the participants to the unique cultural traditions and achievements of the participating countries, as well as to promote universal spiritual, family, cultural, ethnic, and religious traditions cherished by the nations of the world. In his opinion, the Contest will become a major global event in the sphere of cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
The participants of the meeting expressed confidence that such events will contribute significantly to the strengthening of cultural and humanitarian cooperation among the SCO member states.
