On July 22, the main symbol of the “Intervision” International Music Contest — the Contest’s flag — arrived in Tajikistan’s capital. It reached Dushanbe as part of the “Journey to the Heart of Eurasia” expedition, completing a route through Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan alongside the expedition participants.
Near the Ismail Samani monument in Friendship Square, the motorcade carrying the flag was greeted by People’s Artist, composer and Chairman of the Composers’ Union of Tajikistan, Amirbek Musozoda, along with prominent figures from the country’s artistic community. A festive ceremony with a distinctly national flavor accompanied the flag’s handover.
Amirbek Musozoda, representing Tajikistan on the International Professional Jury of “Intervision”, will join his colleagues in September to determine the Contest’s winner. In his welcome, he shared his pride in this important role, stating, “It is a great honor to be part of such a prestigious international musical family.”
The “Intervision” flag will now travel from Tajikistan to Moscow. On September 12, 2025, a ceremonial handover to the full lineup of Contest participants will take place at the National Center “Russia”.
