The organizers of the International Music Contest “Intervision” have announced the names of the international hosting duo for the Contest: acclaimed Chinese TV presenter Lay (Meng Lei) and Indian actress and model Stefy Patel.
Lay, one of China’s most recognizable bilingual hosts, has moderated events for global brands and worked for Jilin Satellite TV and Dragon TV. He also appeared in The Sound of Music and hosted the 2008 Beijing Olympics. He served as a judge on the TV Presenter Talent Contest in Beijing as well.
“It is a great honor to be a host of “Intervision.” From the very beginning of my career, I worked in radio, conducting bilingual interviews with outstanding musicians, artists, and singers from all over the world. For this reason, I am sincerely grateful for the trust placed in me. In Moscow, I hope to bring all my passion for music and embody the image of a cultural ambassador,” shared Lay.
He also added that he had been preparing for his role as a host of “Intervision” with the help of the works of Alexander Pushkin, which, according to him, “further fueled my desire to get to know Moscow personally.”
Stefy Patel is the winner of the Miss Teen International title (2016) and the finalist of the Femina Miss India national competition (2018). Her film career began with her debut in the Bollywood film Ninnu Thalachi (2019) and later gained a foothold through her participation in the film #AV31, directed by Arivazagan.
“It is a great honor for me to be the host of the International Music Contest “Intervision”. This new role carries with it not only a sense of pride, but also a great responsibility. As a host, I see myself as a bridge between artists and the audience, creating an atmosphere of warmth, celebration and unity. I am sure that the Intervision in Moscow this year will be a truly outstanding event. I am looking forward to seeing the diversity of talents, the spirit of friendship and the cultural wealth that the capital of Russia offers. I am sure that this journey will be filled with meaningful contacts, vivid and unforgettable performances, as well as new opportunities to strengthen cultural ties between the two countries,” said Stefy Patel.
This year, 23 countries will take part in the International Music Contest “Intervision”, including BRICS nations, CIS countries, Latin America, the Middle East, and the USA. The Contest Final will take place on September 20, 2025, at the Live Arena venue in Moscow.
