Moscow Hosts the Final of the International Music Contest “Intervision”

A unique musical show with augmented reality, 4 billion viewers were able to join the broadcast worldwide, 500 volunteers from five countries, 23 participating countries, and only one winner. The grand final of the International Music Contest “Intervision” took place on September 20 at the “Live Arena” venue in Moscow.

President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin extended a warm welcome to the participants, jury members, and global audience:

“Today, the ‘Intervision’, being loyal to its traditions, is gaining a new scope. Peoples have the right to free development and preservation of their identity. People seek communication, want to have a better knowledge and understanding of other countries’ cultures. The ‘Intervision’ is a musical event that fully responds to this request. Russia has always been and remains a country open for communication and constructive cooperation. We hold our traditions dear and respect traditions of others. It is the respect for traditional values and the diversity of cultures that actually serve as the basic idea of this contest and inspires its participants to creative achievements,” the head of state conveyed in his video address.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov personally attended the final show of “Intervision.”

“Originally, we wanted BRICS and their partners to take part. However, when we announced the contest to our partners and most of them gave a positive response almost immediately, and the news spread across the globe, countries distant from BRICS in geographical and organizational terms decided to send in their performers. Therefore, whenever a good idea is just on the right spot, everything works out,” said the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Musicians from 22 countries took part in the final show of the Contest: from Belarus to Vietnam, from Madagascar to Tajikistan. The roster also included representatives from Brazil, Venezuela, Egypt, India, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, China, Colombia, Cuba, the United Arab Emirates, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Uzbekistan, Ethiopia, and South Africa.

Many songs were performed in the native languages of the contestants, with national motifs and rhythms. This diversity united all participants and viewers alike. “Intervision” proved that music transcends borders, serving as a universal language of friendship and understanding. Moreover, it underscored the power of creativity and mutual respect in building long-term ties between countries.

The song performances were evaluated by an International Professional Jury, which included representatives from 23 countries. Among the members of the professional jury were all participating countries, as well as a representative from the United States, whose participant was unable to take part in the Contest.

“Intervision” was hosted by a vibrant team: actor and musician Alexey Vorobyov (Alex Sparrow), acclaimed opera diva and Honored Artist of Russia Aida Garifullina, alongside Chinese TV presenter Lay (Meng Lei) and Indian actress and model Stefy Patel. Journalist and TV presenter Yana Churikova and Chief producer of music and entertainment programs for Channel One Yuri Aksyuta provided the voiceover commentary for the Russian broadcast. The International Music Contest “Intervision” Ambassadors – Dima Bilan, Klava Koka, Pelageya, and AY YOLA – also graced the stage with their presence.

Adding to the atmosphere, large families from Moscow and the Moscow region were specially invited to attend the final show. They received complimentary tickets as part of the “Hospitality” program, a support initiative for large families from the Moscow Region.

With a resounding 422 points from the jury, the representative from Vietnam, Duc Phuc, emerged victorious at this year’s International Music Contest “Intervision.”

“Dear friends, dear viewers, I thank you for every second you spent watching this show. Thank you so much! Ten years ago, I won ‘The Voice of Vietnam,’ and now, after a decade, I’ve become the winner of ‘Intervision’”, Duc Phuc said from the stage immediately after the announcement of the Contest results.

The winner of “Intervision” received a crystal trophy and won a cash prize of 30 million rubles.

The Final reached billions worldwide via a live broadcast on Channel One, while VK Video streamed the performances and behind-the-scenes content. A special studio was set up at the “Live Arena” with hosts Nansi and Sidorov and star correspondent Karina Kross, which became the main center for live communication. Live interviews were conducted with artists, guests, jury members, and Ambassadors of the Contest, as well as discussions of events that remained outside the scope of the main show.

At the final part of the Contest, the hosts announced that Saudi Arabia would be the host country of “Intervision” in 2026.
