Popular Chinese singer Wang Xi, also known internationally as Elvis Wang, is set to represent China at the International Music Contest “Intervision.” The choice of his stage name is no coincidence, as the singer possesses a melodious and captivating voice with a rare range for a pop artist that spans from a velvety bass to touching high notes. Wang Xi graduated from the Shenyang Conservatory of Music in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in Performance. His professional status is confirmed by his membership in both the Chinese Musicians’ Association and the Beijing Musicians’ Association.
Throughout his career, Wang Xi has received more than twenty prestigious prizes and awards. In 2013, he achieved a confident victory at the 15th National Young Singers Contest of CCTV in the “Pop Music” category. In 2019, he was honored as the “Space Music Artist” in the Chinese space culture music project “All in Rhythm,” and also received the Music Pioneer Awards for “Outstanding Singer” and “Best Live Performance.”
