The Republic of Belarus will be represented at the International music competition “Intervision” by young singer Nastya Kravchenko with her song “Motylok” (Moth). The music was composed by Nikolai Sosin, a composer and music producer for X-Factor and “Factor.BY” TV shows.
“I wanted to write a song for those who dig deep within themselves, finding the courage to conquer obstacles and trust in their own abilities. It’s a reminder that each of us can achieve our dreams,” says Nastya Kravchenko about her competition entry.
The song is based on the author’s personal story. Nastya Kravchenko wrote it during a difficult time in her life when external circumstances, inner fears, and self-doubt nearly made her give up on her dream of becoming a singer. But she realized that the only way forward was to believe in herself and keep going — and she didn’t give up.
In the song, Nastya Kravchenko conveys her emotions through the image of a moth — a symbol of transformation and hope. The lyrics are filled with metaphors: masks, fragile porcelain dolls, and crystal tears symbolize illusions and human vulnerability. But the main message of the song — “I am alive” — emphasizes that each of us can overcome any hardship.
Today, Nastya Kravchenko is a popular singer, TV host, and blogger. Her success has earned her a Platinum Disc for over a million streams on music platforms.
The premiere of song “Motylok” (Moth) took place on July 10 at the opening of the International Arts Festival “Slavianski Bazaar” in Vitebsk.
