Кashmiri singer, producer, and composer Rauhan Malik will showcase the richness and uniqueness of traditional Indian music with a modern sound at the International Music Contest “Intervision”.
Rauhan Malik is known for his vivid blend of folk, rock, and pop music, through which he brings to life the stories and spirit of his native Kashmir—the region where the artist was born and took his first steps in music. His work is deeply rooted in Kashmiri culture while resonating with listeners worldwide.
As a child, Rauhan learned simple national rhythms and melodies, drawing inspiration from the folk songs of his homeland. Deciding to dedicate himself to music, he pursued an education in performing arts and continues to grow professionally: he is currently simultaneously pursuing a bachelor’s degree in the same field in Delhi and a Bachelor of Arts degree at the Asian Academy of Film in Noida. Alongside his studies, Rauhan has been teaching vocals, guitar, composition, and arrangement for over 12 years.
In 2019, the artist began his creative journey with the release of the song Raasta under the label Stalwart Music Factory, which he co-founded. With each new release, Rauhan Malik’s popularity has grown both in India and among the Kashmiri diaspora abroad.
His pop-rock hit Ishq (2024) has garnered over 300 million streams on one music streaming service and more than 3 billion views across various digital platforms. Malik’s other compositions have also captivated audiences, earning him hundreds of thousands of fans.
